Erich Wolfgang Korngold, just eleven years old, composed the ballet The Snowman, whose musical brilliance caused such a stir that even the Emperor ordered a performance at the imperial and royal court opera.
This year, excerpts from the ballet, which recalls Tchaikovsky's great ballet compositions, will be performed at the Christmas concert of the Carinthian Symphony Orchestra (KSO).

The concert will be accompanied by festive, reflective, and cheerful tones, including Mozart's Ave verum corpus, a work of profound spirituality, and Leroy Anderson's brisk Sleigh Ride, which transports the audience into a joyful winter world.
Together with the choir of the City Theatre, this program will be a musical celebration of the festive season.
