Steeped in history on the way to the old Loibl Pass
Historically Significant Journey to the Old Loibl Pass
In carpools, we will make our way from "Deutscher Peter" to our starting point just below the current Loibl Tunnel. From here, we will hike steadily uphill on the historically significant old Loibl Pass Road to the old border crossing with the two impressive obelisks. A beautiful view awaits us both towards Austria and Slovenia. The cozy "Stari Loibl Hütte" is located directly at the pass and invites visitors to enjoy and try typical Slovenian delicacies.
The elevation difference is about 300m, with a pure walking time of about 3 hours.
