This sporty e-bike tour connects two of the most beautiful Carinthian lakes - Lake Wörthersee and Lake Ossiach. Lake Wörthersee is the largest lake in Carinthia and Lake Ossiach is the lake with the most fish in Carinthia. The Ossiacher Tauern are a mountain ridge between the Wörthersee and the Ossiacher See, also called "The small Tauern".

Travel to Velden possible by train or bus

From the tourist information office in Velden, the route leads to the Drau cycle path and continues until just before Villach. Continue along the Treffner Bach stream to Lake Ossiach. Along the Ossiacher See cycle path to Ossiach. Here a visit to the Ossiach monastery pays off. Now the ascent to the Ossiacher Tauern begins. Up to the Ossiacher Tauern pond it is sporty. From Ossiach there are now about 400 meters of altitude to overcome, turn by turn. At about 1000 m above sea level you cross the Ossiacher Tauern. The route continues to the horse stud farm and the small Tauern church on the idyllic high plateau. Now it's first downhill before a last short climb to Alpen and the Tauerneck. From here it is only downhill via Laas, Köstenberg, Unterwurzen, Oberjeserz and Kranzelhofen to Velden.
